Diversify the Experience

There are lots of ways to laugh and have fun and lots of venues to do it in.  When people have the same happy hour at the same places for a decade, it becomes stagnant.  When the words “monthly potluck” make your stomach sink instead of perk up, it’s time to do something different.  The best educators are the ones who embrace the concept of change when it comes to their instruction.  Why should this not hold true when it comes to having fun together.

TAKE ACTION

Variety helps to spice up life and refresh our attitudes.  The lovely and talented Julia Louis-Dreyfus said,

“Here’s something that my mom said to me and I think it’s very true in terms of happiness: You have to always have something to look forward to. It can be a very minor thing, and it can be a major thing.  But you always have to have something you’re looking forward to next.”

If we’re only looking forward to the weekend and getting away from the people we work with, it might be a sign that we need to diversify the experiences were currently having while were together.
