Nursing Home Outreach
Book of Life would like to expand our outreach to one of the most ignored areas of ministry. We're building a team willing to do visitation and witnessing at nursing homes. We will provide resources such as CDs and DVDs of Sunday messages. Our goal is to comfort the lonely and spread the love of Christ to those who need it most.
Qualifications: Willing heart
Time commitment: About an hour per visit
Web Editor
Update website announcements weekly (15 minutes on Sunday afternoon). Does not require knowledge of web editing.
Additionally, free to suggest broader changes to layout and content and make changes upon approval.
The website is second only to personal invitations in bringing in Sunday visitors.
Qualifications: Internet connection required
Web Calendar Manager
Update Web Calendar with regular (i.e. potluck) and special church events. Does not require knowledge of web editing.
Time commitment: 15 minutes/month
Qualifications: Internet connection required
Google Ad Manager:
Maintain search engine (google, yahoo, etc.) ads. Create ad text
(2 lines of 35 characters). Track results to identify best practices. Visitors tell us monthly that they found us through a google ad linked to our website.
Time commitment: 1hr/month
Analytical skills and creativity helpful.
 Announcement Videos:
We would like to film some recurring announcements in the form of entertaining skits. We need writers, actors, producers and video editors.
Time commitment: unknown
Camera Operators:
Should be comfortable with computers (especially a Mac, at least not afraid of one). Involves turning on camera and soundboard. Opening software and checking sound level. Filming Steve while he teaches. Shutting down system.
No experience necessary but good attention span a must.
Time commitment: Sunday during service once or twice a month.
Viral Video Ads:
Have any ideas for funny, exciting, weird or any other adjective that will get a video flying around cyberspace? Viral videos are an incredible way to harness the advertising power of the internet. We need your ideas...then we need your help.
Building Maintenance
The campus has hundreds of needs some require a skilled proffessional others just need the caring hands of a volunteer. If you have spare time and don't want to wait until the next campus work day, contact the office to offer your services.
Pick up a ministry application at the office to apply or go to the Admin tab and downloads to print one.
