The church exists to serve Christ and the world! We come to church to be filled with God's spirit, the love of Christ and the warm fellowship of our church family. We leave church inspired to share God's love with others through words and through our service. 

As members of Oakton United Methodist Outreach Ministries, we strive to continually increase lay leadership in our worship services. This effort expands the congregations understanding of their ministry as baptized Christians, and enriches the congregation's worship life. Areas coordinating this purpose are: communion, flowers, ushers, acolytes, liturgists, children's sermons, music, worship, communications, and altar guild. We try, as a committee, to share these responsibilities with all ages...children through adults.
