At Oakton UMC we put great emphasis on the ongoing process of spiritual growth that leads us toward more effective Christian service.  Nurturing Ministries encompasses all those programs that, through study and fellowship, enhance spiritual development and foster a greater dedication toward working for Christ. 

Among our Nurturing ministries are: Sunday School for ages three through adult; Nursery for infants through age two, Children’s Church during the worship service, for ages three through second grade; and the Christian Early Learning Center (CELC), our preschool for children ages two through five.  

Further opportunities for Christian fellowship, learning and service are offered through our United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF), United Methodist Men (UMM), United Methodist Women (UMW) and our Adult and Family Ministries. Our newly formed Church Library is a valuable Nurturing resource.  It offers a wide variety of non-fiction and fiction books, videos and DVDs on Christian themes,  for both adults and children.
