There are six local Methodist churches that are supporting the Sierra Leone Child Rescue Centre in west Africa. 

You can sponsor a child at the Child Rescue Centre for only $300.00 per year. You will receive a picture and have the opportunity to correspond with the child. If you would like to make a financial contribution please make your check out to Oakton UMC and place CRC in the memo block. You can also use a credit card. Call the church office for more details.

Teams from the six partner churches travel to Sierra Leone 3-4 times per year. Each trip has different purposes, e.g. to teach computer skills, provide medical care, or to do construction projects for the Centreto deliver the container and perform work projects.
