Small Groups United Methodist Youth Fellowship Christian Child Learning Center The United Methodist Men meet for breakfast on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM in the Small Hall. We always enjoy fellowship, good coffee, a hardy breakfast, discussions, prayer and sometimes an excellent program. The men prepare the meal sometimes with some help from their wives the night before. All men of the church are invited to enjoy this monthly fellowship.Purpose and Objectives of United Methodist MenUnited Methodist Men exists to declare the centrality of Christ in every mart's life. Men's ministry leads to the spiritual growth of men and to effective discipleship. This purpose is served as men are called to model the servant leadership of Jesus Christ. Individual and group strategies form the foundation of UMMen ministry:
Men seeking membership in a the Oakton United Methodist Men will be asked to subscribe to the major strategies listed above and to these personal objectives.
Membership is open to any man who indicates his desire to belong and to participate in the ministry of the church through United Methodist Men. The Oakton Unit of the United Methodist Women currently consists of the Mary Martha Circle and the Women’s Fellowship. Through individual pledges and fundraisers, the UMW supports World, State and Local Missions as well as projects of the Oakton United Methodist Church. All women, including teenagers, are welcome. You are invited to visit the various groups and find one that suits your interests. Mary Martha: 2nd Wednesday each month at 1:00pm Women’s Fellowship: 1st Saturday of each month at 8:00am in the Small Hall You are cordially invited to visit any of the above groups. Call the church Office (703 938-1233) for location of meetings and other details The church has a diversified music department that is actively involved in all worship services. There are many opportunities for using your God-given talents of music.
All choirs rehearse only from late August through June. Instrumentalist are always welcome to participate in worship services. There is a Fellowship gathering on the third Sunday of each month immediately following the late morning service. Food and refreshments are served. Everyone is invited to join us in the large Fellowship Hall beneath the Sanctuary. The Hall is accessible by both stairways and our newly installed elevator. United Methodist Youth Fellowship The Oakton United Methodist Youth Fellowship (OUMYF) membership is open to all junior and senior high school students between the ages of 12 and 18. The goal of the OUMYF is to provide a unique and safe community to facilitate the exploration of one's self as a child of God and His plan for our life as a Christian. OUMYF is an opportunity to gather and share with others who are called to grow in Christ through prayer, worship, Bible study and service of our individual gifts and talents. OUMYF encourages the search for justice and peace in the world OUMYF meets on Sunday evenings during the school year. Meetings normally start at 4:00pm and start with a light meal. Check the Calendar for any last minute changes. The youth have created their own web page, please visit. Christian Early Learning Center (CELC) During the normal school year, a day care program, offering a Christian-based curriculum is available for children ages 18 month through four years, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30am to 12:00 noon.
