About the Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 ~ 2 Peter 1:20-21 ~ Psalm 119:105

About God

God is the Creator and Ruler of all things. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1, 26-27; 3:22 ~ Psalm 90:2 ~ Matthew 28:19

About Jesus

Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He is co-equal with God the Father and has always existed. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. To demonstrate His power over sin and death, He arose from the dead three days after being buried. He then ascended to Heaven where He now lives. He will one day return to the earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. John 3:16; 1:1-14 ~ Isaiah 7:14 ~ Luke 1:34 ~ Hebrews 4:14-15 ~  1 Corinthians 15:3-4

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in the body of every Christian from the moment of their salvation and never leaves. He empowers the Christian living in God’s way to do many things including understanding Scripture, praying, and knowing right from wrong. He also empowers the Christian for ministry and gives strength for everyday living. 2 Corinthians 3:17 ~ John 14:16-17 ~ Ephesians 4:30 ~ 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16

About People

People are made in the image of God. All people are sinners, and it is our sin that separates us from our Creator. People can only be made right by God through Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:27 ~ Psalm 8:3-8 ~ Romans 3:23; 5:1 ~ John 3:16 ~ Revelation 20:15

About Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but the only way to get it is to accept it. The free gift to us is Jesus Christ, and salvation is through Him only. You cannot be saved by doing good or any other way. God wants every person to accept Jesus as their Savior. Romans 6:23; 5:8 ~ John 3:16; 14:6 ~ Ephesians 2:8-9 ~ 2 Peter 3:9

About Eternal Security

A person can do nothing to lose their salvation, because they did nothing to attain it. People are saved by God’s grace not works. Salvation is kept by the grace and power of God not by people doing good works. Nothing and nobody can take away your salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 ~ Hebrews 10:10 ~ 2 Timothy 1:12 ~ John 10:29 ~ Romans 8:38-39

About Baptism

Baptism is the first act of obedience after a person is saved. It must follow the strict biblical guideline of immersion under water. The motive and method of baptism are crucial. Acts 8:36-39; 9:18; 16:25-33 ~ Matthew 3:13-17 ~ Romans 6:1-7
