I don't have an argument to win; I have a message (the Gospel) to give. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." This verse is probably one of the most quoted in the Bible, as well it should be. It holds so many truths for the Christian. It reminds us that those that are called according to God's purpose, love Him, and can be assured that God will cause all things to work together for good in order to accomplish HIS purpose in our lives. However this verse does not promise that nothing bad will happen to us, just that God will use all the things that happen to work for His purpose. God is in control and will finish what He has started in our lives, and we can rest in this great truth. We must remember, our lives are all about Him, and not about us. |
