Ministry Opportunites at LFCC

LFCC has two ministry opportunites available.  This opporunties are volunteer based with the possibily of turning into a paid position as the church grows and the ministries grows.  The first position is the Chiildren's Pastor/Minister (Ages 4-11 yrs old) and the second is the Student Ministres Pastor/Minister for Junior and Senior High Students.

POSITION TITLE:  Children’s Minister/Pastor

DEPARTMENT

REPORT TO:  Senior Pastor

GENERAL SUMMARY:  To serve the church by developing a comprehensive spiritual, educational and social ministries for the Kindergarten through Fifth Grade youth of the church and supervising staff members and volunteers involved in this ministry.

COMPENSATION:  Volunteer.  As the church grows and the Children’s Ministry grows, has the potential to become a paid position. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.  Plan and develop a creative program for Kindergarten through Fifth Grade  of the church.

2.  Review and develop curriculum to meet the educational needs of the Elementary School Youth of LFCC.

3.  Develop one-on-one relationships with the outh by being a friend and positive role model.

4.  Plan and coordinate with other staff members, committees and boards to provide a well rounded program for spiritual growth through teaching, music and recreation.

5.  Recruit, train and equip essential people to work as teen advisors (as needed per Senior Pastor/Assistant Pastor.

6.  Meet regularly with lay leadership for team building and planning purposes.

7.  Oversee and teach the church teenage group religious education based on the Word of God.

8.  Develop service mission projects for teens to grow in service to the Lord.

9.  Plan and coordinate camps, conferences, retreats, and trips.

10.  Attend staff meetings and any committee or board meetings necessary to carry out the teen ministries of the church.

11.  Cooperate with the Senior Pastor, Assistant Pastor, or Church Administrator by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

POSITION TITLE:  Student Ministries Pastor/Minister

DEPARTMENT

REPORT TO:  Senior Pastor

GENERAL SUMMARY:  To serve the church by developing a comprehensive spiritual, educational and social ministries for the Junior High and Senior High Youth of the church and supervising staff members and volunteers involved in this ministry.

COMPENSATION:  Volunteer.  Could lead into a paid position depending on the growth of the church and the junior and senior high student ministries. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.  Plan and develop a creative program for junior and senior high youth.

2.  Review and develop curriculum to meet the educational needs of the junior and senior high youth, through group and mentoring programs. 

3.  Develop one-on-one relationships with the junior and senior high youth by being a friend and positive role model.

4.  Recruit, train and equip essential people to work as youth advisors (as needed per Senior Pastor/Assistant Pastor.

5.  Meet regularly with lay leadership for team building and planning purposes.

6.  Oversee and teach the church teenage group religious education based on the Word of God.

7.  Develop service mission projects for teens to grow in service to the Lord.

8.  Plan and coordinate camps, conferences, retreats, and trips.    Be willing to engage with other associated churches in preparing and organizing joint ventures with other youth pastors and ministries. 

9.  Attend staff meetings and any committee or board meetings necessary to carry out the teen ministries of the church.

10.  Attend weekly LFCC church services to have the word of God imparted and grow spiritually.  This may include services outside the normal weekly church services.  When multiply services are implemented on Sunday, you must be in attendance of the early service to be fed spiritually before ministering to the youth of LFCC. 

11.  Cooperate with the Senior Pastor, Assistant Pastor, or Church Administrator by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
