Our Core Values Scripture We value the Bible because it contains God’s authoritative and accurate word for salvation and service (2 timothy 3:16). Therefore, we will strive to teach God’s Word with integrity and authority so that seekers will find Christ and believers will mature in Him. Worship We value worship that is authentic and acceptable to God (Romans 12:1-2). Therefore, we desire to acknowledge God’s supreme value and worth in our personal lives and in the corporate, contemporary worship of our church. Community We value biblical community where people have opportunity to minister to one another and to love one other (Acts 2:44-46). Therefore, we ask all our people to commit to and fully participate in small groups where they may exercise their gifts and experience community. Grace Orientation We value a grace orientation to life as opposed to a legal orientation (Romans 6:14). Therefore, we encourage our people to serve Christ from their hearts of love and gratitude rather than guilt and condemnation. Cultural Relevance We value ministry that effectively communicates biblical truths in ways that people understand it (1Chronicles 12:32). Therefore, we will constantly seek to evaluate our forms and methodologies, seeking relevance and maximum ministry effectiveness for God. Lost People We value lost people because God does (Luke 19:10). Therefore, we will use every available Christ-honoring way to seek out, win, and disciple unchurched, lost people. Congregation Mobilization We value total congregational involvement in ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13). Therefore, we seek to empower all our unique and gifted people to accomplish the work of our ministry effectively. Excellence in Ministry We value giving our best in service to God because He gave His best—the Savior (Colossians 2:23-24). Therefore, we will seek to honor Him by maintaining a high standard of excellence in all our ministries and programs.
