"For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." Psalm 107:9 (My emphasis)
The underlying thought found in this verse gives security to the believer who reaches toward the Lord to satisfy the soul that is hungry and thirsty for the presence of the Lord. When it seems that our spirits are dry and He is far from us, we have this precious verse to lean on. He is not very far from us. He stands ready to respond to our heart cry when our spirit needs refreshing. Be aware of His desire to fill that heart that is longing for Him. He will not allow His people to be found spiritually empty, if our hearts really yearn for Him. Rejoice in the fact that our Lord stands near to help! Reach for Him!
