After opening a newsletter that brings encouragement, the following old hymn "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty" which is over 300 years old was part of an article.  I suddenly found myself singing out loud in front of my computer giving praise to the Lord. 

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty
The King of creation
O my soul, praise Him
For He is thy health and salvation
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near
Praise Him in glad adoration

Praise to the Lord
Who o'er all things so wonderfully reigneth
Shelters thee under His wings
Yea, so gladly sustaineth
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e'er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth

Praise to the Lord
Who doth prosper thy work and defend thee
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do
If with His love He befriend thee

Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before Him
Let the 'amen' sound from His people again
Gladly for aye we adore Him

My daily perpetual calendar for today says...

When my eyes are onthe Lord, He gives me a spirit of calmness--a strong, solid trust and dependency that rests in Him alone.  Because He is my refuge, I can live freely and fearlessly, knowing that God is always in control.

I have a daily perpetual calendar* at my computer area.  The word for a day last week was "Prayerfulness" and I shared it with a few.  But today I decided to share it with more.

Prayerfulness

Prayerfulness is staying tuned to Heaven's heartbeat and keeping aware of the needs in His world.  When I am faithful to pray, God can turn mountains into pebbles and storms into showers of blessing.

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests..."  Ephesians 6:18

Amen.
