My first ever blog! Happy Fathers Day to all Fathers out there. And lets not forget the Lord our father as well.

 

Last night when my wife and son came home I received a fathers day card. Now I find this card very special because:

1. I would have been happy with just a thought from my children.

2. A verbal "happy fathers day" would have been just fine for me. After all I would have known that I was thought of.

But instead I get this small paper plate from my son when he came in the door last night. It was their fathers day card to me. It reads "Happy Fathers Day FATHER! and loving husband" Then he used his talents to drawl out a smiley face. But it doesn't stop there, he goes on to drawl alot the things that I have loved in my life. A airplane because I love aviation, a cross for my love to god, an American flag for my love to this country, 3 little rats for the "Rat Pack",  a Pittsburgh Penguin logo for my love of hockey and the team, a truck for which I have spent many years driving down the road, how I miss doing that and the joy of seeing this great country from a view so little people see it today as everyone flies. it is signed by my wifi      

Now to the person that MOCKED my son at work for him not buying me a card. Could a store bought card have brought me all this JOY?

Now with all this being said, Pastor Jeff I surly don't feel financially rich but I DO feel rich in the heart! What more can a man ask for on fathers day.
