  Year Long Honey Moon

Deuteronomy 24:5 When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war,

neither shall he be charged with any business: [but] he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.

  

I wonder how much savings a man would need in order to sustain himself and his wife for
1 full year of unemployment. Moreover, this was to be done with cheerfulness such that his
joy could sustain his wife and that she too could be full of... joy. One reason for the requirement
for cheerfulness for the wife was because she was normally, in Hebrew culture when this verse was
written, in somewhat of a mourning state seeing that she was now being taken from under the loving
protective covering of her family, and now being subjected to the coving that her husband provides.

Now, everyone knows that genuine fatherly love is different from husbandry love. So then,
she, being a virgin, would have only known the protective loving covering of her daddy, up
until she and her husband consummated the marriage. (The same was also supposed
to be true for the husband. The bible never makes provision for the man to be a whoremonger
while the woman remains pure. The requirement was to both the male and female to be sexually
pure, as it should be.)

According to the law of Moses, God held the husband responsible for bringing sustained joy to that marital union.
Knowing the pressure that business and fighting would bring on a newly budding union that was to last a lifetime,
God required 1 FULL YEAR of honeymooning!!! Wow.

I wonder how many marriages would have been saved if this principle/precept/law had been followed consistently.
I wonder how many unions would have been preserved had both the woman and the man been chaste virgins when
they said I DO. I wonder just how many married couples have actually repented for having not done this 1 yr cheering
requirement. Perhaps that would be the starting point for restoring marriages that are on the brink of divorce. I wonder
how many men would have been preemptively delivered from adultery and pornography had they spent their time
before marriage to save up in order to cheer up the wife of their youth. I wonder how many marriages and families
have been held together nice and strong in righteousness and faith had this principle been followed. I just wonder.....

  Galatians Chapter 3 Teaching

 

Gal 3:1  

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

For those to whom Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, these are considered for foolish.  Foolishness in scripture typically applies to the person who had been taught right from wrong, but rejects it in order to pursue the pleasures of the flesh.

The caveat is that not everyone has had Jesus Christ set before them as crucified among them.  They have had certain types of structures set before them that have presented Jesus in lights other than crucified.  Because of this, the doctrines that they have been taught are based off of fear, power, control, and even money, rather than Jesus and him crucified and raised from the dead.

But for those who have had Jesus presented to them in truth, Paul makes it known that it could only be by way witchcrafts that their hearts could be turned away.  The way witchcrafts operates is that a curse is generated by some sorcerer (whether male of female) and the demons associated with the terms and conditions of that curse are sent out against a specific person or group of people to carry it out.  This is occurring far more regularly than the average person realizes.  This is especially true for the believers in Jesus Christ.  So then, it is important to break curse on a regular bases in the name of Jesus.  It’s not just about what specific doors of sin a person may have opened up, although that certainly does play a part in given Stan rights to defeat a person.  Yet, it is more about dealing with the atmosphere and the perverted influences of the prince and power of the air, i.e Satan.  Everybody brings a certain type of mindset to an environment that affects the atmosphere around them either for righteousness or unrighteousness. 

There is an atmosphere that exists in one’s home; even different atmospheres within the same home.   For example, the atmospheres in the kitchen, living room, and bed room are all different. 

Similarly, there is a different atmosphere that exists in one’s vehicle than what exists in the home.  Additionally, there is a different atmosphere that exists at the workplace that is very different from one home and or vehicle.

The only commonality between all these different places is the individual who utilizes them. Therefore, it is valid to say that one does have some level of influence concerning the atmospheres that he or she travels through.  So then, we can let Satan have complete control over a particular atmosphere, or we can choose to hide God’s word in our hearts so that we don’t sin; thereby making conscious, deliberate decisions to not be conformed to the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds daily in word of Christ.

Gal 3:2  

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Paul has a right to address the people boldly becaue he knows the amount of work put in with them.  He made sure that they didn’t just get the baptism of repentance, but the full gospel and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. When he left them they were operating in the gifts of the Sppirit and loving one another freely and unhindered.  But he later found out that they were turning away from the faith of Jesus Christ and were now being told by false teachers that they were not really saved until they got circumcised.

Gal 3:3  

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

So then, whatever is started by the Spirit of God needs to be maintained in the Spirit of God, regardless of the intensity of persecution and discomfort to our flesh.  The problem is that God is Spirit, but we tend to operate based upon what is most convenient for our flesh.  And because the flesh caters to our soulish man with emotional highs that feel good, we can have the propensity to think that this then must be the correct way to go; rather than fasting and seeking the Lord earnestly for clear direction.

 

So then, it is a major blow to our ego most times to find out that many of our good ideas are not actually aligned with what Holy Spirit wants us to be doing.

Gal 3:4  

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.

Then he appeals to the level of suffering that the people endured for righteousness sake, prior to them getting bewitched.  So he is saying that their suffering might not be in vain if it now serves a purpose reconnecting with them in the truth rather than a lie.

Gal 3:5  

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

So if I ministered to you in the Spirit of God and miracle among you by the Spirit of God, did I do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?  The obvious answer is by the hearing of faith, which is why he goes on in later verse to explain that Abrham had faith first, and then the circumcision was the symbol of that faith towards.  Not the other way around where now you are righteous in God’s eyes simply because you got circumcised.

Gal 3:6  

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

God is the one who does the accounting for righteousness.  And the criteria that God uses is that a person must believe God at his word  And that word must tried through the fires of life over time in order to be refined within that individual.  Then, at the time appointed by the Lord, the person receives the privilege of having righteousness accounted to him or her at a certain level.

Gal 3:7  

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

So then, we see from this verse of scripture that the of Abraham are not necessarily those who are of his direct lineage.  But we see that the criteria is that of faith, which is spiritual, not physical.  Since it is spiritual, then it is not of Abraham himself, but it is of the Lord God.

Gal 3:8  

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed.

God would justify the heathen through faith. Then the scriptures preached the gospel to Abraham and said that in his him would ALL NATIONS be blessed; Not just 1 nation being that if Isarael.  But ALL NATIONS WOULD BE BLESSED, NOT CURSED, IF THEY WOULD HAVE FAITH THAT CAUSE God to impute righteousness unto them also.

Gal 3:9  

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

So then they which are of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Gal 3:10  

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

If you choose to be under the works of the law, then know of a surety that you are under the curse of the law because the does pronounce a curse onto to everyone that does not continue in ALL things written in the book of the law to do them.

Gal 3:11  

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, [it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

It is evident, i.e, plainly obvious, in the sight of the Lord God Almighty that no man or woman is justified by the law.  Only Jesus can stand up and say, “I am righteous. I have not sinned.” The rest of us are in deparate need of the salvation that comes through this one man, who just happens to be the eternal living Word of God.  Why is that, because those that are justified before God are those that live by faith.  Faith came before the law was given.  We know this because God called Noah a righteous man, he also calls Enoch, the 7th from Adam, a righteous man who walked with God and was caught up and did not see death.  These thing existed lang before Abram wa ever conceived.  So then the issue is faith in love that indeed fulfills the righteousness requirement of the book of the law that was given many, many generations later.

Gal 3:12  

And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

The law is NOT of faith.  But the person who I able to do them shall live in them.

Gal 3:13  

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law because he was made a curse for us.  He is now risen and blessed for ever.

Gal 3:14  

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ.  And the blessing is the promise of the Spirit of God that comes through faith.

Gal 3:15  

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man's covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

 

Gal 3:16  

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

 

Gal 3:17  

And this I say, [that] the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

The law that came 430 yrs later cannot disannul the promise of God that was made 430 yrs earlier.

Gal 3:18  

For if the inheritance [be] of the law, [it is] no more of promise: but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise.

 

Gal 3:19  

Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

So then what was the purpose of the law?  It was given because of transgressions. Until the seed should come to whome the promise was made.

Gal 3:20  

Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one.

 

Gal 3:21  

[Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

The law is NOT against the promise of God.  However, there was never given a law that could have given life.  If so, then surely righteousness would have been by the law.

 

The law of God is indeed perfect, according to Psalms 19, and it does convert the soul of that man of woman who will obey every jot and tittle of it that way that Jesus did.  But the law of God in our lives should serve as a tool for show how imperfect we are when compared to the law of God.  Once we see ourselves as completely helpless and unable to live up to standard of the law, then that should bring about a strong conviction and since of desparately crying out the God for help.  It is through this desparate crying out to God, that Holy Spirit can now draw us to Jesus, whose tremendous sacrifice for us has paid the bill.  The law of God convert the soul because it should bring a person to a humble  repentance.  God’s prerequisite for being accepted by him is contrite heart of repentance.  In Psalms 51 David said, “a broken and contrite, O God, thou will not despise.”

 

So then, in the old testament, was there not a sacrifice that the non-Hebrews could bring to the LORD for their sins?  If course there was.  The LORD required that everyone come to priests to offer the sacrifice in the same way.  The only stipulation that God put on the non-Hebrews was that they could not serve in the temple.  Temple service was reserved for the Levitical priesthood.  When even the Levites turned their backs on God, there was a man named Zadock who commanded his sons to obey the Lord God at all costs and to not follow after the foolishness of the other Levites.  When God restored  his presence back to Israel his reward to the Zadok family was they only were aloud to minister before him.  But the other Levites whose hearts turned from him, God allowed them to only minster to the people.  This tells us that when people can come up with some doctrine that attracts a lot of people, then that could be an indicator that they have been rejected from ministering directly before the presence of the Lord.  So to me, this means to not get high-minded as though influence with means anything special.  It could mean that God has judged that particular person, or group of people, for their hardened heart, and thus will not allow them to get but so close to him. 

 

There are a remnant of people in the earth whom the Lord has chosen as his personal treasure who are called and appointed to minister only to him.  You can recognize these people because no matter what they do to fit in with people, they just don’t fit in for one reason or another.  This is because they are called to be set-apart true worshippers of the Lord God through unshakeable faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 

Gal 3:22  

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

The scripture, the word of God, has concluded all people to be under sin.  This is done such that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.  The promise of the faith of Jesus Christ is everlasting life.  There might horrendous evils experienced in this present life, but that does not change the promise of the faith of Jesus Christ.  The faith of Jesus Christ is solid because he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is forever faithful, forever righteous, forever holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners. 

 

It is vitally important to understand this principle because those who start various movements in the name of Jesus, but exhibit very little of his actual character, are actually liars.  One cannot have faith in the risen Christ and be prejudiced, biased, unforgiving, bitter, wicked, unclean, crafty, or sneaky.  There has to be a pure heart.  How sad that there exists people in this world who hold the faith of Jesus with respect of persons.  The bible says that love, not the law, covers a multitude of sins. 

 

Gal 3:23  

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

But before faith in Jesus Christ came, we were kept under the law.  IN other words, we were kept on lock down until the perfect One should come and show the more excellent way, seeing that he himself is the author and finisher of faith itself.  So then, we were shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed

Gal 3:24  

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto to Christ that we might be justified by faith.

 

So then, as it relates to salvation, the law as viewed through generations of Israelites being required to keep, served as a school master to Israel.  It was a type and shadow of the things to come later when the Lord from heaven would be born into this world.  The schoolmaster (law) ruled with an iron fist because of the transgressions of the people and their faithflessness.

In fact God told Moses that this was a people in whom is no faith.  So that tells us that the law’s intent was to bring us to various levels of faithful obedience unto the Lord, with emphasis on the word faithful. 

 

So imagine then the frustration of those who tried with everything in them to obey the law, and yet failed over and over again all throughout their lifetime.  Imagine how difficult it would have been to remain optimistic about one’s ability to be acceptable before God, even after the burnt sacrifice was offered.  I say this because the Hebrews tells us that the blood of goats and bullocks could never cleanse a man’s conscience because every time the sacrifice was offered, it was bloody reminder of how file and disgusting that person’s sins were.  The person’s conscience was never cleared.  However, with the sacrifice of Yeshua, there can now be clear conscience and no more remembrance of the sins that were once committed.  In other words, no more memory in the direction of condemnation and being under the wrath of God, and being under the curse of the law.

Gal 3:25  

But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

 

As it relates to repentance, I would tell anyone to get in God’s word and read his laws and understand his precepts and his judgments.  This should lead a person to humbled heart of repentance, rather than arrogant boasting.  Allow the word of God to break that stubbornness of a proud heart and of a stiff neck, and then confess to the Lord just how many things you have done and even thought in your heart that have violated these laws, commands, precepts, and judgments.  This process is what then prepares a person to now receive more grace to grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is the Holy Spirit that will lead and direct a person to draw near to Jesus in true worship of the God the Father.  The results of these processes are a more broken and humbled person who becomes full of faith to bring about whatever righteousness is necessary to various situations occurring in that person’s life.

 

 

Gal 3:26  

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

 

Gal 3:27  

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

 

Gal 3:28  

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male, nor female.  For ye are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus

Gal 3:29  

And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Therefore beloved of the Lord Jesus Christ, let us be consistent with our own personal faithfulness to the Lord's words, and let us humble ourselves accordingly.

  Rebuttal Against Israel United in Christ Organization

I went to the Israel United in Christ website and will present my personal take on what is seen there.  To be quite honest, the more I look into this nonsense, the more indignant I become.  Rather than go tit-for-tat and back and forth with someone about various beliefs of this organization, I chose to address this high-ranking demon directly by going to the website itself.  What I found was quite interesting.  I found racial bias, sexual innuendo, a non-Hebrew Jesus, false doctrine, etc.  All of these things with scriptures listed to “support” them.  

Racism:

So to me, if you’re going to avoid a stereotypical “white” Jesus on one hand, then don’t jump to the extreme stereotype on the other end of the spectrum either and make him pure “black”.  This is regardless of how many scriptures are posted.  As I have said in a previous post, it is possible to post scriptures and still carry the wrong spirit behind it just as the Pharisees and Sadducees did.  There is one place on the website (I forget where) that states that blacks and Hispanics needs to learn the truth about who they are.  It mentions that the Christian churches had failed them somehow.  So, I guess somebody decided it is time to matters into their own hands and produce a worldwide organization that only offers salvation to Israelites who are scattered throughout the other nations.  Again, this is racism, and error according to Romans 11:8 and Isaiah 29:10. 

 

 

I’m sorry but reverse racism is still racism, no matter how you slice it.  There is nothing wrong with tracing the tribes of Israel and seeing who is who for modern times.  However, there is a clear militant-type of racist intent here according to the pages of the website. If you are going to hate racism, then hate it all across the board and not when it is convenient for you.

Sexual Innuendo:

The section on Marriage show a couple things that I really have a problem with.  1.  It ppears that for marketing purposes, the is the typical darker skinned man with the lighter skinned woman.  Now, I have no issues at all with skin tone or complexion.  But, it appears, in keeping in line with all the other typical stereotypes of the black culture, that marriage success in this organization is defined as a dark skinned man with a light skinned cutie in his arm.  Never mind her intelligence and sincere hunger and thirst for righteousness in the eyesight of the Lord.  The perception here is quite clear to me.

2.  There is an obvious sexually implicit picture of the woman lying down while the man’s face is at her waist line.  The man obviously looks like he’s about commense into oral sex with this woman whose breasts are partially exposed.  So my question is, why in the world are you depicting softcore porn on your darn website.  The image is clearly designed to get someone aroused.  Not only that, what about the single people in your organization who aren’t married?  How do you expect them to maintain pure thoughts about marriage being honourable in all and the bed being undefiled (Hebrews 10) if their gaze and imaginations are fixed on this picture?  How dare them try to teach about holy matrimony when they can’t even put something holy as the true depiction of marriage.  Anybody can sell sexual innuendo.  But very few people are willing to weather the true storms of life in a committed monogamous covenant relationship between a husband and wife.  Eros is not the bond of perfectness; only agape is. I suggest that they GET THE FOUL PICTURE OFF THE DARN WEBSITE AND STOP ENDORSING PORN TO AN ALREADY WICKED AND PERVERSE GENERATION!!!!

 

False Doctrine:

The section called Biblical Christians goes to great pains to lie to those who are weak in the faith and say that only Israelites can be Christian.  In other words, the veil that was torn from top to bottom in the temple has been sewn back up.  Moreover the blood of Jesus means nothing for the non-Isrealite even if he or she genuinely wanted to receive Jesus into their hearts in the pardon of their sins.  So, a Caucasian, Englishman, or Korean would find no place of true godly sorrow that leads to repentance if his life depended on this organization.  

 

 

Non-Hebrew Jesus:

White light coming from eyes and mouth:  The bible says that out of Jesus’ mouth will go a sharp two-edged sword.  But this picture shows nothing of the sort.  The bible says that Jesus’ eyes were as a flame of fire; and it says in proverbs that the eyes are the gateway to the soul. So, as Paul said for us to compare spiritual things to spiritual, one would understand this to mean that his eyes are righteous and pure and reveal the depths of holiness exuded out of Jesus’ very soul.   But this picture shows white eyes, like some mystical black super hero.  

Afro:  Just like any typical black panther-type spirit, here we now have Jesus with an afro.  Revelations says that he had hair that was white like wool.  Ok, and…? So what?  Since when does white like wool equate to an afro?  I’m surprised they were savvy enough to leave out the pick with the closed fist as well as the “third eye” that is typical of those blacks who hold Egyptian Gnostic beliefs.  Again, just like a typical brother who lacks any real identity from true godly fathering, the person who contrived this picture has failed to compare  spiritual things to spiritual and have taken this to mean a literal black man’s afro.  RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beard:  Sampson was a Nazarite who was not allowed to trim his beard, for he was consecrated to the Lord all the days of his life.  There is no way possible that Jesus would allow Sampson to uphold a higher standard than he himself.  Therefore, there is NO indication in scripture at all, nor in Jewish history as it relates to the priests and high priests, that Jesus every cut his beard.  Leviticus states that the priest was not to trim the edges of his beard.  Jesus is our merciful and faithful high priest.  So I would doubt very highly that he had a nicely trimmed beard the way that it is shown in this blasphemous picture.

Face:  The face of this person on the picture depicts a typical black man’s nose (which is different from the types of noses that majority of Jewish people tend to have).  Moreover, it depicts Jesus, who is the Prince of Peace and the Prince and Word of Life, as an out of control angry person.  Just like a typical African American male who is controlled by a spirit of anger and mad at the world because he thinks somebody owes him something.  This is what this picture says to me. It speak NOTHING AT ALL of the true and living God, nor does it speak ANYTHING holy about the true and living Christ, who is God-blessed forever.  This picture is in fact the actual high-ranking demonic Ruler and Principality that presides over this organization.  Satan is very bold about his works to kill, steal and to destroy.  So it is important for those of us who are on the frontlines and actively engaged in spiritual warfare, to be even more bold about pulling down the strongholds of foolishness and vain imaginations.

 

Conclusion:

Jesus prayed in John 17 for those that would believe on him through the words of the disciples once they became endued with power by the Holy Ghost.  Though he himself remained under the law to fulfill all righteousness, he placed no restriction at all in Mark 16 when he was risen from the dead and seen amongst his disciples.  But of course, I doubt that this organization believes that Mark 16 should have been included in the scriptures.  They would much rather live by the Apocrypha; a group of writings that were never considered to be the canon of scripture, though the King James translators did translate these into English with the other writings.

This organization, from what I’ve seen from the elders, down to the doctrine, fails to abide by James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

 

This organization, as far as I can tell, is a high-ranking order of Luciferian doctrines and comes backed by all the demonic worldly influences necessary to promote it from obscurity to worldwide recognition.  This is not just simply a different kind of church and learning about one’s tribal history.  It is a total commitment to laws of God as filtered through the organization rather than the righteousness of faith in the true and risen Jesus Christ whose blood cleanses us from our sins. The bio of the main Elder states that he has been taught "this truth" for 20 yrs by the 7 rulers of Israel.  What this tells me is that he is a high-ranking warlock in the mysticism and Gnostic belief systems of the Kabbala.  This is totally scary from a spiritual warfare point of view.  This means that anyone who comes under the rulership and teachings of this group has submitted himself or herself to spirits of witchcrafts and sorceries.

on this and several other related topics; however, I will forego any further discussion on this post concerning these things. To be quite honest, my pasion

for writing so much on this post is for Brandie. My wife and I knew Brandie some yrs back and had only known her to be a young girl with a very sweet and

meek spirit about her. Knowing many of the things that she and her family have endured and overcome over the years, it saddens my heart to hear that

she is involved with a group that seems to care more about laws than they do about true love that is unfeigned. I am still thankful that she is studying the word,

because the word of God is still quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the diving asunder of soul and spirit, and is a discerner of

thoughts and intents of the heart.

Brandie, please know that Lucretia and I will always be hear for you if you want to talk. The scriptures listed are true; however, the way that they are being taught and

implemented, based upon all that I have read from you guys' posts, is error. This is why Jesus said, "Go and see what this means, I wll have mercy, and not sacrifice." and

in another place the scriptures says that "mercy rejoices against judgment." It is possible to say all the right things, even scriptures, but still be in error if there is no true love.

Again, love is the fulfillment of all of the law. When you love someone you are willing to fight for them in righteousness for as long as it takes to get true victory.

This is what my wife and I are offering to you because she and I both have so much more to say. I can assure you that when she and I fast and pray, bondges get broken. We have

earned our place in the spirit through the things that we have suffered for the Lord's namesake. So, I do not concede defeat at all here. For I know that my Redeemer lives and

is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a

OK, another very long one.  I chose to keep this one in Microsoft word because of the lengthiness of it.  My comments are in red,  and the black or blue comments are those of either Jay or Brandie. I answered these from the bottom up.

Brandie Israelite First, let me say that YOU ARE of the 12 Tribes of the REAL Nation of Israel. All those that TRULY fit the curses of the Law.
Read Duet 28: 15 - 68.

Lamont Comment: I am not under the curse of the law. You guys can receive that if you wanted to, but the scriptures tell me that Christ has redeemed me from that curse and blotted out the handwriting of ordinances against me.  So no, I don’t receive any curses because as one of the redeemed, I no longer fit Deut 28:15-68.  Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!

Brandie / J Comment: Wow...,
I don't quite know where to begin to address the slight misuse and sincere misunderstandings of the writings of Paul, as he wrote things hard to understand. His words are very captivating but Paul was a master of the Law. He knew the scriptures even before being called under Christ, so realize that he quoted often the writings of the prophets as he understood them being fulfilled in Christ and his role in it. Compare Acts 2:16-21 and Joel 2:28-32. Same Thing, he tells you he quoted it. Acts 2:22 - Ye Men of ISRAEL, HERE THESE WORDS..

Lamont Comment: I understand that Paul was a master of the law and often quoted the old testament.  It is clear that Paul served to bridge the gap of misunderstanding that existed between those who refused to let go of the old covenant, and those of the new covenant who had no understanding of what it took to get to the point of there even being a new covenant.  For those stuck in the OT mentality, Paul’s words were intended to present a prophetic hope based on the fact that God fulfilled his promise to Israel by sending Christ to die their sins.  And for those of the NT mentality Paul didn’t want them to not have an anchor in the scriptures with which to track the fact that God did in fact fulfill his promise to his people.

I have full understanding of all of this.  You’re not teaching me anything here I don’t already know very well.  My wife and I for past 2 yrs have worked with people through our ministry who are what we call Messianic Jews/Hebrews/Israelites from several tribes.  And almost all of them have an issue with God pouring out his great mercies upon Gentiles.  They go through great pains to pull scripture after scripture combined with “knowledge” of the law to produce a conglomerate of doctrines of superiority for them and inferiority for everyone else.    In several of their cases Jesus is no longer the complete word of God, but he is relegated to just the Torah (which is error).  When I first met them I was elated to be connecting with God’s chosen people.  I had zero animosity in my heart towards them, and absolutely zero prejudice against them for anything.  I was just happy to have met them.  But then something strange started happening.  I started getting numerous posts on fb about what God was doing with the Israelites.  And I rejoiced at first.  But then, I kept noticing that every scripture that they presented seemed to “over-emphasize” the Israelites, their culture and/or their history. The righteousness of faith somehow got stripped from the verses.  Their way of quoting scripture carried with it a spirit of what I called Jewish Dominance.  (ok that sounds corny, but I had to call it something so that I could pray against it.) It became obvious to me that they weren’t as interested in being my brother, as I was in being theirs, and that I was getting a massive dose of that controlling pharisaical spirit of Judaism.  Scriptures that I once loved started to leave me bitter inside, causing me to feel that I somehow had lost my spiritual position with the Lord. 

Some of what I’m hearing from you guys sounds very similar.  You seem to be presenting that the scriptures can’t just burn in our hearts anymore; now the verses have to be filtered through an Israelite filter.  But the bible clearly tells us that blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

So, since I’ve already been through this, I had absolutely no intentions on allowing that to happen again.  My prayer warfare increased because I realized that a demonic spirit was trying to convince me that as a non-Hebrew somehow I had lost my place with the Lord.  So I fasted, and consecrated myself, repented of my own personal sins.  While I underwent this process, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told to start reading Revelations from the beginning.  And while I was obediently reading, my joy for the word started to return.  And then the Holy Spirit brought me to the following:

 

Rev 3:7  

And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

Rev 3:8  

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Rev 3:9  

Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Rev 3:10  

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev 3:11  

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Rev 3:12  

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.

Rev 3:13  

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

 

This is the word of Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit has given me to stand on whenever there is some doctrine designed to weaken my faith.  And I will never forget that Jesus spoke into spirit and said, “They did not save you, I did. Obey Me and do what I’ve said here.”  He gave me a stern warning to obey verse 11, and I did, and still do.  So all I can say is, it doesn’t matter to me what doctrine comes my way, nor does it matter what person attempts to bring it forth;  my faith is locked and I don’t waver to the right or left.  Jesus is Lord and I will never let anyone take my crown.

Brandie / J comment: Pauls also said that the Jews were at one time gentiles, because of their idolarty, 1 Corith12:2, how could a Jew become a gentile and then go back. One of many spots to show that if you act like the heathen, you get called a gentile, even other Israeiltes. Look up gentile in a zondervan bible dictionary - USUALLY a non-Israelite people. Usually, not always, scholars know this as well.

Lamont Comment: I agree with this statement. Usually it does refer to non-Israelite, but not all.  I have no issues with this. It is just that the initial discussion seemed to center around there not being any salvation provision for anyone outside of Israel.  Which is not true.  Moreover, it was presented in the previous post as though all references to Gentiles were only talking about the idolatrous 9 tribes of Israel.

Brandie / J Comment: At the time the Jews were under the CAPTIVITY of rome, John 11:48, thus when Christ spoke through Paul they were written in a way that if/when you repented, kept the commandments, and recieved the Holy Spirit, we would be able to understand. Why? Again, Paul was a master of the law, and otherwise spoke as the Spirit moved him.

Psl 19:7 - The Law of the LORD is PERFECT, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Psl 111:10 - The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that DO his commandments: HIs praise endureth forever.

So, fearing the LORD; as we have been brought up to do, get us halfway there, but keeping the commandments of the Most High is what gives us the proper understanding. (and for those that may read this, YES that means all of them!)

Lamont Comment: I understand these scriptures very well.  What you’re really talking about is holiness and love.  I am in full agreement with this. I never implied advocating a license to sin, or a license to not obey the word of the Lord.  The commandment of Jesus himself is that we love one another.  For love is the fulfillment of the law.  And both James and Peter tell us that love covers a multitude of sins.

If you understand, as I do, that Christ was the word made flesh, than we can both agree that the Bible says what is says, to mean what it should mean. I felt like this was on the edge of doubt in the word. We must take it as it is, Christ said "Blessed is he that is not offended in me"

Lamont Comment: I’m sorry you felt that my statement was on the “edge of doubt”  My comment was about your interpretation of Rom 11:26, and not about the scripture itself.  I have no problem with all Israel being saved.  The more the merrier.  I was addressing the statement that Only Israel would be saved.  Again, as I stated similarly in my 1st post, Paul never says in ANY of his letters, nor does he even imply that ONLY Israelites would be saved. Again, this is error.  Satan has been working false doctrine with mankind since the beginning with Adam and Eve.  I totally agree that Jesus said blessed are they who are not offended in me.  My offense is not with Jesus, but rather with the doctrines of legalism that put men and women into bondage.  Jesus said, the Scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.  All that they bid you do, observe and do, but do not after their works.  For they lay burdens grievous to bear and will not lift up one finger to help.

Lamont Comment: I totally agree with the scriptures.  I have no issue at all with the word of God.  I have issues with false doctrine.

Brandie / J Comment: As you can tell I also break down the scriptures using precepts of the Bible itself, one scripture explains another, because that is what we are commanded to do;

Ish 28:9 - Whom shall teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10: For precept MUST be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line; here a little , and there a little.
(and you should know this prophecy..)
11: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to THIS people.

So, the Most High stated through the prophet Isaiah that to understand this glorious doctrine that we must use the precepts in the prophecies to understand. Why? Because he would speak to us in something other than our natural tongue of Hebrew.
Im sure you realize Bibles are now in every laungue of the land that the Isrealites are scattered in, James 1:1, ours is english.
Notice the word MUST, no option or opinion...

Now, to go into who Christ was sent to save,
I'll start with a little prophecy and let His Majesty speak for himself.
I'm sure you understand that grace is the mercy of GOD via Jesus.
 

Lamont Comment: Jesus is the savior of the world, not just Israel. To those who will repent of their sins and place their trust in him fully.   I keep saying this over and over because this point needs to be emphasized.

 

Jhn 4:42

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard [him] ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.

Lamont Comment: I’m cool both old and new.  Like I said, I love the word. The scriptures are to be a comfort to the man and women so that they can have hope.  But a legalistic structure destroys that hope.

Lamont Comment: I fully understand that this is a prophetic utterance. Later portions of this chapter addresses the fall of Lucifer, his mentality, and ultimate end.

Lamont comment: As it relates to God’s ultimate plan for Israel, it is wonderful I have no problem whatsoever with God’s ultimate plan for Israel.  Romans 11:15 says that the casting away of Israel is the reconciling of the world, but the receiving of them is life from the dead.

Lamont Comment; I understand the points that you are making; and some are valid.  However, Romans 11:32  makes it clear that God hath concluded both Jew and Gentile (i.e. non-Hebrews) in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.  

I’m not saying that the word Gentile here could not mean the Israelites who were in idolatry.  But I’ve always interpreted this scripture as referring to non-Hebrews.

All my life I have read the scriptures and enjoyed reading about how God related to his people in good times and bad.  But this spirit of legalism that I keep feeling from your posts needs to be bound and cast out, in Jesus’ name.

From what I am hearing consistently from you guys sounds like nothing more than modern-day circumcision.  The Jews were just as zealous about circumcision back then as you guys seem to be about being an Israelite now.  So, the way I see it, the only way for you get a balance on what you guys are teaching, or being taught, is to spend time understanding circumcision vs. circumcision.

Lamont Comment: I totally agree with this scripture.  If you understand the pattern of God throughout scripture you’ll see that God starts at a point and builds from that.  Jesus was still under the law when he was born into the world.  Therefore, he had to fulfill the law, being God manifest in the flesh, so that his righteousness, faith and love could fulfill all the righteousness of the law first.  But there is not a law that could give life.  That could only occur by the giving of the Holy Ghost, and that could only happen by having the Lamb of God to offer himself, through the eternal Spirit, to God.

God sent the law first to be a schoolmaster until the perfect one came.  When the perfect one came he fulfilled all the law, and nailed to his cross the handwriting of ordinances that were against all mankind.

It is an error to say that salvation is not available to all who would put their total faith in Jesus Christ.  The scripture tells us blessed is he who hopes in the mercy of the Lord.

The Israelites have the advantage of being the chosen people of of God.  Salvation is to the Jew 1st, then to everyone else who will obey voice of the Lord.  Like the 1st born son gets the inheritance, but then distributes it according amongst the other siblings.

He says “my people” because more is expected of your own children than those who are not.  If you are a coach, then you would expect your own son to respect your words, even if none of the other kids do.  You love them all, but more is expected of your own.  No one is taking away from Israel being the apple of God’s eye.  But once I’ve been adopted into the family, then I am no longer treated as an outsider, and thus am held to the same standards as the natural children.

Lamont Comment: True believers in Jesus Christ are no longer under the curse of the law.  The scripture tells us that Jesus blotted out the hand-writing of ordinances that were against us, nailing it to his cross.

Lamont Comment: There is no scripture stating that unrepentant, rebellious men and women will go to heaven.  They must be forgiven of their sins and repent before they get there.

As it relates to the destruction of other nations, one of the promises of God from Isaiah 54:3 is that the seed of Israel shall inherit the Gentiles.  This is similar to the scripture in Revelations that says, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdom of our God and of his Christ.”  There has to be some kingdoms in the earth in order for Jesus to inherit them for millennial reign.

Just as Jesus is the 1st born of many brethren, so also God intended for Israel to function as a big brother to the other nations at the appointed time.

Lamont Comment: Jesus is defining the parameters with which he has to work in while fulfilling all righteousness as a human being.  The promise of the Messiah was to Israel first, so that there would fall any word of prophesy that was spoken on Israel’s behalf.  It’s pretty simple to me.  Just like when he knew that the people were going to try to make him king, and withdrew himself from them.  Jesus clearly had certain parameters with which to live in while fulfilling all righteousness.  If you’re taking the I-10 freeway to get to California from Texas, then you must go through a portion of New Mexico 1st, and then Arizona 2nd, and California 3rd.

In fact, this scripture clearly demonstrates that salvation is to the house of Israel 1st, and that the word Gentile does most often mean everyone else who is not naturally born Israelis, or non-Hebrew.

Lamont comment: The law was not given until Moses, yet God detroyed all mankind except for Noah and his family because of the evil that was in the hearts and minds of mankind, and that violence had filled the earth because of it.  This was his judgment for evil.  God judged the earth with the flood and then sent the law many years later to impute the sin upon them long after they were already dead.

Lamont Comment: I don’t mean to offend you guys but I have been in the hot seat before about certain statements that I’ve made about our black culture.  I’m not in any way indifferent about, or ignorant to, the horrors of slavery and what blacks have endured, be it trans-Atlantic, or the Arab slave trade. No, I don’t know what part of Africa my ancestors are from. But I’m also fully aware that while there were some God-fearing people in the lineage, there were also many deep in my ancestry who passionately served demons, hated God, and hated the Lord Jesus Christ.  I don’t know their names, but I do know that too much of African culture is saturated with idolatry.  In the bible, every place where there was rampant idolatry there was also every sexual sin known to mankind, demonically induced beats and rhythm (i.e demonic music), and the horrifying sacrificing of babies and little ones.  Even in the book of Kings there was a king of the heathen nation who sacrificed his grown son, who was next in line to the throne, on the wall of the city.  The action was so vile and repulsive that those who were ready to besiege the city turned away wagging their heads in disgust.

As it relates to not being worth anything, my parents have never indicated that I would never be anything, despite what the society would have wanted to instill in me.  I have been fully affirmed by mother and father, and thus can read history about the suffering of blacks without getting angry and bitter about it.  I went to an HBCU college for 5 yrs, and believe me, I have heard every argument from the 5% nation about the black man being god and calling Jesus the white man’s God.  I rejected that doctrine back then, and I still reject it now.  Jesus is not the white man’s God; he is the savior of the world to all will repent and call upon him in the pardon of their sins.

Lamont Comment: I have no problem at all with Jesus being bronzed skin tone with woolly hair.  Joseph was told to take the child Jesus to Egypt to hide.  So it would not be possible to hide when your skin tone is much lighter than those around you.  So I understand that Jesus the Messiah was not himself the blonde hair blue eyed depiction.  My only point in my facetious comment was to say that Jesus’ race is Hebrew and not Black. 

But I do want to interject that I have met a blonde-haired blue-eyed Jewish young man back in 2003/2004 time frame, and he was wearing open toe sandals.  He came to the church that my wife and I were attending at the time.  I counseled with him for 20 minutes after service.  It turned out that he was involved in this Jewish mystisicm called the Kabala, and the demons that came into him through this ungodly practice were blocking him from receiving Christ.  I didn’t have time to get into any real deliverance prayers and casting out of unclean spirits, but had he been willing to hang around for about an hr, I strongly believe that he would have left there a true believer in Jesus.  He did tell me though that he was very grateful for me speaking with him so purely about Jesus, and no one had ever spoken with him before with such love of Christ.

If Israel wants deliverance from their enemies, then they need to repent and turn to the Son of God like every body else.  They don’t get special privileges in this regard when God’s order is very clear as it relates to what pleases him.  Moreover, James 1 tell us that the lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh, and the two are contrary one to another.  Additionally, Peter warns us to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against our souls.  So it becomes apparent that it is our own flesh and sin nature that presents itself as our greatest enemy.  So, I agree with you comments about repenting.

Not sure what “enemies” you are referring to.  On this side of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our enemies are those who are enemies of the cross.

Those who are of Gnostic belief systems that negate both the divinity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Lamont Comment:  I’ve read Ezra numerous times, especially the repentance chapter, but I’d never heard of 2 ESDRAS; so I Googled it and found that it is one of the Apocryphal books that were never considered the Canon of scripture.  So then I would personally advise against reading too many of these types of references.  There is a valid reason why 46 God-fearing scholars agreed to not include it as part of the holy writ when it was published in English.  I know that there are numerous “other” writings, like those of the man named Josephus, that may offer some historical perspective.  However, these should not be viewed as the same level of scripture.

Lamont Comment : I think you guys are misunderstanding what I’m saying in some cases.  I am not preaching the gospel of inclusion that says that everyone is already saved.  What I am preaching is that salvation is available to every man, woman, boy, or girl, who will repent, put their faith and trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, who humble obey the voice of his Spirit, and who will live a lifestyle of holiness unto the Lord. It is to the Jew 1st, but it certainly doesn’t stop there.  This gospel of Jesus Christ is available to all, regardless of their background, race, gender, or ethnicity.  Yet we know that not all will receive it; therefore not all will be saved.   Yet, there are people right now who are in the darkest forms of Satanism but who will choose to love God, repent and be cleansed by the word of Christ.  Now, of course, they will have to reap the corruption that they have sown in the flesh; but their soul can be saved instantly just by a sincere whisper to Jesus asking him to pardon of their sins.

I can assure you that I am not by any means a baby Christian, neither am I a stranger to the baptism of repentance nor the baptism of the Holy Ghost.  Yet, my point is one of identity.  You cannot have the faith of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ with respect of persons, according to James chapter 2.  This is one reason why Paul told us to do the work of an evangelist.  Moreover, in the book of Acts, God showed Peter the vision of the abominable creatures in the blanket and told Peter to kill and eat. God said that what he has cleansed, we are not to call unclean.  So, when God chose to cleans those Gentiles (non-Hebrews) who feared his name, and to give them the same baptism of the Holy Ghost as he gave those originally in the upper room, then the Israelites are not call those Gentiles unclean.

When you go and evangelize, none of us has the luxury of picking and choosing whether or not we will only share the gospel based upon a person’s classification (whatever that may be).  Our job is to obey the Holy Ghost and preach one gospel to all people. And that gospel includes holiness and obedience to God’s word.    I don’t know about you guys or anyone else, but I cannot look into the eyes of hurting, devastated people, and not offer them the true Jesus of the bible, full of and grace and truth.  It matters not to me if they have Israeli genealogy of the 12 tribes.  I only care about saving a lost soul, and snatching as many people as possible out of the fires of hell, hating even the garments spotted by the flesh.   Day 1 of DADT

 

On day 1 of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell for soldiers, Many people are celebrating a young man's public confession on youtube that he is gay and always has been.  He records himself calling his father and asking his dad to love him no matter what.  The dad replies that he loves his son no matter what and will always be there for him. 

Well, my comment to that is this: This father's confession of loving his son no matter what does not make his son's choices right.  This young man will miss heaven if he dies in an unrepentant state of a perverted lifestyle.  Our love for something or someone does not make their actions right before a holy and just God Almighty.

This dad should have said, "Son, the Lord Jesus Christ did not die on the cross so that you can go and fornicate with men or women.  The Lord Jesus Christ died for you and I so that we can live holy and spotless in this wicked and perverse generation of vipers.  Son, you must repent of your sins just like anyyone else who wants to make it into heaven.  No amount of worldly acceptance in this life will stop God's hand from judging against you when you depart this life.  You must repent, son, and come under the blood covering of Jesus.  If someone in this world does you wrong, you can go to God for help on how to resolve it.  But when you reject the Almighty himself, there is no one that can entreat for you and stop His eternal judgments.  Son, this homosexual lifestyle is perversion and is not of God; moreover, it will only serve to cause you to be forever separated from his loving presence.  Son, you must be born again; born of the Spirit of Jesus Christ!  Son, I love you too much to not see you in heaven with me forever, so I must tell you the truth.  In the end, None of our personal preferences in this life will mean anything if we die in a rejected state, rejecting the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ to live holy in this life.  In the end, only God's word and God's truth will stand.  Son, I implore you, by the tender mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ, that you repent of your sins and turn to the Prince of Life himself.  He's a man that will love you the right way, Gods' sacrificial way, and not any kind of perverted way.  Son, He knew you in your mother's womb long before Satan put this perversion on you.  Son, you've asked me to accept you unconditionally, and I do, though my heart is hurting right now.  But now I'm asking you to accept the Lord Jesus Christ unconditionally; without reservations or hesitations, and allow the Holy Spirit to transform your heart from weakness in this area to being strengthened daily by God's word to stand against perversion.  I love you son and I will stand with you daily in prayer, fasting and intercession until Christ be formed in you.  Now Let's pray..."

"...Oh, my Father in heaven, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ your dear Son, I come to you this day thankful for the grace to come boldly to you in prayer with a humbled, repentant heart on behalf of my son.  Father I love him dearly, but I know that you love him so much more than I do.  Father God, you sent your precious beloved into the world to be rejected, despised, spit upon, and treated shamefully for both my sake and for my son's sake.  So Father God I come repentant.  I confess that I was wrong for thinking all these years that all I needed to do was to provide food and shelter for my family.  God I confess that I did not provide the proper spiritual covering for each member of my household the way that you have required me to.  God I confess that I have been more enamored with the cares of this life at times than I was with addressing the warning signs that your Spirit was showing me.  God I thought that I could use my position of accepting or rejecting my son as tool to get this perversion off of him.  God I was wrong.  Only your word of truth and righteous judgments have power to transform a perverted heart into one strengthened by the righteousness of faith.  Oh my Father God in heaven, I have sinned and done great evil in your sight by not lifting up the standard of your holiness and true love in my home all of these years.  God I thought that it was my time to be in charge and to be served, rather than being a much better servant to each member of home.  O God, I take full responsibility for the choices that my son has made because of my lack of standing in the gap for him.  God, I didn't know that Satan was plaguing him every day with perverted homosexual thoughts.  God, I didn't know that my lack of attention to detail towards him only served as more rejection from his point of view.  God, I just confess all these things as sin; and I repent this day.  

Now, in Jesus' name I bind witchcrafts and sorceries, mind-control, homosexuality and bisexuality, death, fear, unbelief, pride, hatred, anger, discouragement; and I cast out all these things that are sent out against my child.  I break the strongholds of perversion right now in Jesus' mighty name.  I decree the armor of God upon him and I ask Jesus that you protect his vulnerable places.  God, I call upon your great grace and mercies on behalf of my son, whom I love dearly, and ask that you strengthen my heart to challenge him daily in righteousness and godliness.  Father God I ask that you turn around for our good those things that Satan's kingdom meant for evil against us.  Holy Spirit, I ask that you please help me to deliver my precious child from the bondages of iniquity.  God, thank you for your faithfulness and your righteous standard of holiness and love.  IN Jesus' name I pray, Amen, and thank you for hearing and answering prayer."

Now, this prayer might not have gotten heard on youtube, but it certainly would have helped this man to deliver his own flesh and blood from a bondage that Satan had clearly put on this young man. 

Beloved of the Lord Jesus Christ, let us not think that things will just work themselves out in our households without our active obedience in strong intercession to guard our families from demonic invasions.  A paycheck doesn't stop a demon.  A mean look doesn't stop  a demon.  Profanity and expletives don't stop demons.  Only by our submission to the righteousness of faith in Jesus Christ, and the authority of God's' Spirit will devils leave our children.  Saints, let's put aside our fears and selfishness and lift up the true standard of strong prayer and intercession for our families in the name of Yeshua, the Son of the Most High.

  Fallen Leaders

What do you do when your favorite preacher, or gospel artist, or ministry leader falls into sin?  Do you leave the church?  Do you reject Christ?  Do you close up shop and say the heck with it all?

I post this blog obviously knowing the answer to my question, but I must admit that it does hurt to see prominent church leaders falling into sexual sin.  One of my favorite worship leaders was Terry MacAlmon.  This man's music helped to propel me into  bold worship and adoration for the Lord that I had not experience before.  I honestly believe that the songs he song with such passion were in fact of the Lord.  Yet, still he is a man and subject to the temptations of this world just like any other man. 

A few years ago he admitted to an adulterous affair and subsequently yielded to divorce despite going to numerous counseling sessions with his wife at the time.  His ministry took a turn downward for about a year and half and he was singing "inspiriational" songs at one of the very high-priced restaurants in Texas, I believe.  Two years later he is re-married and re-building his ministry.  Yet, I have not heard any of his music since his fall into sin.  All I remember are those songs produced prior.  And those songs still minister to me.  But I can't say that I am interested in his work that he now produces.  Perhaps this is a wrong mindset to have, but the truth is that I went through a roller coaster of emotions when I found out afew years ago about his affair.

 

I grew up in church and heard my parents often speak of the difficulties that people have when they put too much emphasis on the person and not on the Lord Jesus.  They said that eventually any man or woman could fall into sin if people put them up too high on a pedestal.  I have always kept this in mind while seeing, or hearing of a number of ministry leaders falling in sexual sin one after the other.  Years ago in California it was difficult to listen to Clarence McClendon after he divorced his wife and remarried.  Back then, prior to the divorce, Bishop McClendon was a regular guest speaker at the church that we attended and served in. 

Who would have ever thought Bishop Eddie Long, who also was a regular guest speaker at the church that we attended, would turn up years later as a homosexual, or bi-sexual bishop?  Needless to say these things do effect the body of Christ in a bad way.  I personally was never big on Bishop Long, but I know that many people were.

Pastor Jamal Bryant - adulterous affair rumored with a 17, child out of wedlock, now divorced, but refuses to sit down from ministry.

Pastor Zachery Timms - year-long adulterous affair with a French exotic dancer; now divorced, now recently deceased.

Prophetess Juanita Bynum - It has been rumored that she married a man that she was doing marriage counseling with.  Then turn around and gets publicly disgraced and humiliated as this Bishop literally stomps her into the ground.  Her ex-husband re-marries ~1.5yrs later and uses his present marriage to bash Juanita repeatedly in his public appearances.  Now, obviously she has moved on with he life, but perhaps someone should have counseled her to not marry a man with whom she was doing marital counseling.  Or perhaps this brother should have been counseling with another man rather than with a woman..

Benny Hinn - wife divorced him.  There is no claim of infidelity in this divorce, but clearly irreconcilable differences.  My guess is that his fame and prominence in ministry hardened his heart towards the needs of his wife.

Paula White - husband has lasting affair, divorces Paula, marries this other lady, but then ends up so ill that he is unable to continue pastoring and turns his full ministry back over to Paula. There were later reports of Benny Hinn and Paula White coming out of a hotel together holding hands at a time that Benny's divorce was in-process.

Roberts Liardon - Confessed in 2001, or 2002 to having a homosexual encounter with the youth pastor of his ministry.  Roberts did a powerful spiritual warfare series in 1997 called "The Lord is a Warrior."  I listened to this series over and over, but was stunned to find out that he had later had an encounter with another man.  Yuck, how disgusting!!!!  Same thing with Eddie Long.  Quadruple yuchie on him.  Roberts problem was that he had no relationship at all with his father.  All he ever knew was ministry through the filter of his mother and grand mother.  So, Satan played on this area of a lack of fathering in his life and seduced him into a homosexual "encounter".  It is uncertain of the incident ever repeated.  But when I look at his website now compared to 1997, Roberts, who remains unmarried for some reason, doesn't look like a man's man like he used to back in his strong spiritual warfare days. 

TD Jakes - hasn't been known to have any affairs, but his son, or step son, was arrested last year for public display of nudity.  Moreover, his son is known to be either homosexual, or bi-sexual, while in fulltime ministry under Bishop Jakes.  Additionally, Jakes' Manpower/Megafest conferences at the turn of the millenium have been known to have ridiculous homosexual activity going on at the hotels.  It was reported that security was increased at the just to keep the men off of each other.

Obviously I'm not saying that these people have no place of repentance; for that would not be biblical.  But I am saying that there is a price to be paid for sin, especially when you are in the public light.  My heart goes out to those leaders who are struggling with secret lusts and feel so trapped that they can't go to anyone for help prior to being shamed publicly.  I can honestly say that after hearing the before and after sermons or songs, the anointing that was once on the lives of these individuals was greatly diminished after choice to sin

So, back to Mr MacAlmon, I still love his CD's "Live Worship", I Came to Worship You", "Visit Us", and "Sound of Heaven".    I know that people who have fallen in ministry still need to go on do whatever else God has for them to do.  But there is a noticeable difference when you see and here them later.

 

Regardless of what our ministry calling is, whether we've been "successful" at it or not, the scriptures still command us to not love the world neither the things that are in the world.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are not of the Father but are of the world; and the world passeth away, and the lusts thereof. But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

No matter how much a person's ministry has helped us.  We are commanded by scripture to not have any other gods before the Lord God Most High.  So then, I think that we can take from all of this that the Holy Ghost moved upon men and women in a certain way that ministered to, grew, and corrected the body of Christ as a whole, but somewhere along the line men and women got seduced by power, money, and fame and turned from Lord in a way that brought them shame and confusion of face just as it occurred in biblical times with the various kings.

  lording over others

 

 Matthew 20: 25But Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

 

Many people in the body of Christ are asking God for the wrong things.  They want God to give them strength and power over people.  But Jesus clearly tells us that this is not how the power of God is to be applied.  There is no provision in scripture for God's people to exercise dominion and authority over others.  This means that when a person in a state of doing this, then he or she is NOT operating in the power of the risen Christ. 

So then, why do we need to guard against demonic influence so intently?  The answer is that demons proliferate a lust for this world.  They all hate God, hate Jesus Christ, hate the Holy Ghost, and hate men and women who are made in the image and likeness of God.  Demonic influence teaches people how to lord authority over others, which is the opposite of what Jesus states in Matthew 20.  So then, in laymen's terms, it comes down to a lust for power, or influence, over people in this world.  This is why so many people are seduced into the occult in some form or another.  They have a strong lust for power that controls people.  He or she is in fact operating out of demonic power and demonic influence. This is why Satan has such power to seduce the righteous into sin. 

So then let's use an example of a person who was raised in church, but wants to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.  This person could have been content with using the singing and dancing talents that the Lord Jesus gave him up until he or she gets faced with a recording contract.  One someone offers this person a record deal, know of a surety that it is the lusts of this world that is at work to seduce him or her into worldliness, even if they start off still singing Christian songs.  So many people are seduced here, in my opinion, because they want power to influence and lord over others.  You know that their hearts have been turned from Jesus when you look at other celebrities who seem to refuse to let go of the fame when it time to let it go.  Jesus had great popularity as it related to massive numbers of followers when he was feeding them and doing miracles.  Yet he laid it all down so that he could go to the cross to fulfill his destiny on earth. 

My wife knows a pstor in California who went to a Prince concert a few months ago.  He talked aout how he was able to get photos and things.  Yet when his members asked him how he was able to get the pictures, his response was, "Nothing but the grace of God."  Now, I'm not sure what god he is speaking of, but I know that the Father of out Lord Jesus Christ does not endorse the works of an cross-dressing secular artist who is clearly bisexual.  Why would this pastor even go to such place.  He was not there to minister to anybody for anything.  He was there enjoying one his childhood idols, obviously.  But for him to state that it was the grace of God is akin to blasphemy as far as I'm concerned.

Let's look at another scripture that might shine some light on why we tend to have such a worldly mindset.  Notice how so many churches now carry an "international" title in their name, even if all they've ever done is send $20 overseas?  Notice how so many businesses promote the fact that much of their customer base is "international", or inter-continental?  So let's see what Solomon, a wise man, (except for when it came to women), said in Ecclesiastes 3: 9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. 11 He hath made every [thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

So to me, the latter part of verse 11 explains a whole lot.  It tells us that the world is set in the heart of men and women so that ultimately no man can truly know the work that the Lord of heaven of earth does from the beginning to the end.  IN other words, it speaks of God's raw holiness and God's sovereignty to do whatsoever pleases him in whatever manner he chooses.  With this being the case, then how can we be expected to be in this world, as born again believers, but not of this world?  The answer comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who himself is truly not of this world, though fully man and fully God.  Ecc 3:10 tells us that God has given men a travail as it relates to laboring in this life; but clearly it is not referring to men and women lording over one another with great authority over people. 

This tells me that here again, Satan, Lucifer, the Serpent, who is also the great Dragon, has lifted up his ugly head to pervert the purpose and plan of God for men and women on the earth.  God has put the world in men's hearts so that basically man can mind his own business and let God be God.  The scriptures tell us that the Lord's plans are good and acceptable and perfect; moreover, God's thoughts towards his people are for peace and not for harm.  Yet, the kingdom of darkness has twisted it and uses worldly fame and fortune to seduce people into not just commitments to this world, but committing their souls to demons, in order to have such popularity and control over people.   

So then, what is the conclusion of all this?  How can a man young man keep his life pure in all the rukus? How can a young woman keep herself holy through the myriad of manipulative men, and women, who seek to seduce her life to slay it?  Well, let's end this by saying that a man or a woman must take heed to God's word and live uprightly:

Ecclesiastes 11: 9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these [things] God will bring thee into judgment. 10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh....

Ecclesiastes 12: 13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole [duty] of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.

So, by obeying the words of Yeshua in Matthew 20, we wisely build a protection for ourselves in this world to not be seduced by the lusts thereof.  When you read Yeshua's words you tend to think that God wants his people to be pushovers as a lifestyle.  But when you understand it from the context of Ecclesiates 12:14, you see that Jesus gives us something that works in our favor so that the Father can reward his people for good works.
