This was written to a response concerning a discussion about speaking in tongues!

If you have a group of people, in a private setting, where all are believers, then it is okay to speak in tongues without an interpreter;  provided that there is the understanding that everyone is talking to God personally in their unknown tongue.  I Corinthians 14:4 He that speaks in an unknown tongue edified (uplift/build up/strengthen) himself but he that prophesied edified the church. Jude 20 but ye, beloved building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.

There are times when you will hear a minister speaking at a public event. He will say a few words in tongues, without the interpretation. This is also a time, that  is actually a moment between that Minister and God (which is okay).

If you are in a public setting a place where all is invited (church, assembly) you should not speak in tongues openly or loudly unless an interpretation is given. If you do speak in tongues in a public setting it should be done quietly between you and the Lord (  those times in the service where it’s just for you and God to communicate, like personal worship time, personal prayer time, etc.) Corinthians 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church ; and let him speak to himself, and to God . Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order." (I Corinthians 14:39-40)

 

I.  What is speaking in tongues?

     A.  It is the spirit of man (not his mind, will or emotions) praying to God.

                  I Corinthians 2:11

"For what man know the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God know no man but the Spirit of God."

                  I Corinthians 14:14, 15

"For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also."

       B.  It is the Spirit of God interceding for man. Man prays (forms the words, etc.), but utterance is given by the Holy Spirit.

                  Romans 8:26, 27

"Likewise the Spirit also helpe our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself make intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that search the hearts know what is the mind of the Spirit, because he make intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

 

There are some that have come to the church speaking in false tongues.  Pastors or leaders of the church should have the discernment to know this. Everything God does satan always have a counterfeit, so there are people from the occult who speak in an unknown tongue. Of course we know they are not of God. There are some Christians who speak in tongues and they are not spirit led.

 

I think this gift is one of the  most beautiful gifts that the Holy Spirit has given the believer for his own personal edification.  And  for the building up of others.

POSSESSING BRIDAL INHERITANCE CONFERENCE!!!

 

The men of God spoke prophetically over the city of Tucson, people traveled from afar to attend the conference.

Chuck Pierce spoke and said, " the next move of God's Glory will be in Texas, Alabama & Arizona."

I was really blessed at the conference, it was a right now faith conference. They spoke and moved so in right now faith

that before you left you felt and knew there was a shift (change) in the atmosphere and in your individual life instananeoulsy. 

There are many times you hear a word and you hear, God is going to do this and going to do that. At the conference, the word was

God is doing this right now.  I was only able to attend one night of the conference but I was truly blessed!!!

Correcting a mistake I made on Haiti earthquake blog!

There is no where in
scripture where God allowed a whole country or nation to go
under because the people as a whole were in right standing with God!

Was this God's wrath on the Haitian people???

Some people are saying that the Haitian's land was destroyed because of the
judgement of God and some say that is foolishness. If you look at
scripture anytime a whole land, nation, city or country was destroyed
it was because of God's fierce wrath. There is no where in
scripture where God allowed a whole country or nation to go
under because of God's righteousness.


We know that God allows his people to go through persecution for
righteousness sake. Matthew 5:10, blessed are they which are persecuted
for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
The Prophets of  God, Disciples, the Martyrs, etc... were
tortured for making a stand for Christ!!!

But this is not the case here. A whole country
has been destroyed and this country has been well known for its occult
practices.


People says well if that is God's judgement on Haiti then we all
have done wickedly and we all need to be destroyed.
Yes, we all have sinned. Romans 3:23 says
for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

We must remember God has a set timing for everything!!!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a
season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:


Who knows how long God has been dealing with the people of Haiti's, we
don't. Who knows if the righteous has been crying out because of the
wickedness in the land!
We can't tell God who to judge, when to judge or how to judge! That's
why God is God, he is the one who says when,
now & how!!

There are times in the bible God sends his judgement not to utterly
destroy a place. But he leaves a remnant of people to rebuild and he does this so the
people would turn to him".  In some cases he does utterly destroy and there is no chance of
rebuilding!

Jeremiah 50:40, God over threw Sodom and Gommorah and the neighbor
cities thereof, says the LORD; so shall no man abide there,


Would God want us to help people that he has judged? In this case
yes, God has left a remnant of people for his purpose.
This also gives God's people an opportunity to show the love of Jesus
Christ!!!! The fact that God destroyed this nation in no way prevents
us from helping them. It does reminds us
that God's Judgments are real.


Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall
remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the
day of his fierce anger.

Many of us have been quoting and hearing the scripture 2 Chronicles
7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked
ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and
will heal their land. Some of us take it lightly & some take it
seriously. The reason we keep hearing this all over the Body of Christ because this is God's warning
to his people.  If we don't take heed to this
warning our nation/land/city will be destroyed as well!!!


Lord we pray for the Haitians,  Thank you Lord for pouring out your
mercy upon them. Thank you that their land will be rebuilt for
your Glory. Thank you, for comforting and healing all those that are
hurting, lost, sick & diseased. Lord we thank you that true repentance
will take place & their children will not inherit the evil practices that were being taught by their
ancestors. God we thank you for sending them help from the sanctuary &
pouring out your spirit upon the Land. In Jesus Name, Amen!!!

Just because the truth is told does not mean you don't care about hurting people!!!
God is hurting much more than we are!!!
God desire for his people to know the truth so they won't fall into this same judgement!!!

In the year of 2009 was a great year of rest for me! I have truly
experienced Psalms 23:2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, he
leadeth me beside the still waters. GOD'S REST DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN
DOING NOTHING. It means allowing you to live in great peace and
contentment. To be free from what ever wearies or disturbs you.  Rest
 from mental exertion; rest of body or mind. To stand firm; to be
fixed; to be supported; as, a column rests on its pedestal. To be free from hard labor.

In my time of rest I had to disassemble myself from some things and people that I
loved dearly. I had to pass up many ministering opportunities. I had to
eradicate anyone or anything that had drama written on their foreheads
or that was close in the vicinity. This was not always easy but my
obedience to Christ played a major part in me receiving my rest. I
almost missed my season of rest because of the unfamiliar. I was so use
to being in the trenches, always on the time clock.  Having meetings
after meetings, which was very fruitful, productive and pleasing to God
in that season. I also had some close friends that came along who tried
to detour me from this rest. They did not mean any harm but it was very
unfamiliar to them as well. That is why it is so important to have a relationship
with God yourself & have an ear to hear what his Spirit is saying to you. 

I thank God for is faithful!!!  I am so excited to see what God has for me and my
family in 2010!!!

It is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9  (King
James Version)

1.  A state of quiet or repose; a cessation from hard labor;
tranquillity; as, rest from mental exertion; rest of body or mind.
2.  To stand firm; to be fixed; to be supported; as, a column rests on
its pedestal.
3.  To cease  from action which has caused weariness; to desist from
labor or exertion.
4.  To be free from what ever wearies or disturbs; to be quiet or still.
5.  Freedom from everything which wearies or disturbs; peace; security.
6.  To lean in confidence; to trust; to rely; to repose without anxiety.

Getting ready for son's basketball season. There will be games several times a week until February and that's not including Tournaments. Princess has been going to basketball games & tournaments every since she was in the womb.

Lucretia_Davis is enjoying her night.  We took our Princess to the Zoo today.  She was speechless because she did not know that the animals she had seen in the books and on television were real. We really enjoyed seeing God's creations!!

When I really starting praying against child molestation, child abduction and rape.  I had a dream and in the dream I was in a neighborhood that I had'nt been before or seen before (unchartered  territories).  I  was walking and their was a man walking towards me. He did not get too close, he kept his distance but he was close enough where I could hear him. And he was watching me for a minute  and then he started to speak to me. He starting saying , this is my territory, you are bothering me.  And then I woke up out of the dream. We know that this man was the evil one or from the evil one who came in the form of a man, and was telling me to stop praying against child molestation, child abduction and rape. He was also telling me that he has been very successful in these areas and I was messing with what belongs to him because he clearly said I was in his territory.......that is saying alot.  He has been so successful in these areas, he really think he has the right to do what he is doing to our children.

That no advantage may be gained over us by satan: for we are not ignorant of his devices.  2 Cor. 2:11  Be sober, be watchful: your adversary evil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:Be sober, be watchful: your adversary evil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Pet. 5:8  

 

The wicked one wants your child, my child and any child he can get his hands on. The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy, but God  has come to give life and life more abundantly. John 10:10  Too many kids are being snatched and molested right under their parents noses and sometimes it is the  parents whose doing the snatching and the molesting. We really need to guard and protect these little (big) ones with prayer & fasting as well as in the natural. When a child is born on this earth God has a purpose and plan for that child's life and so does the wicked one. There is alot more to be said about this topic but I will pick it up at a later date.

Lord, I pray for a balanced word in the Body of Christ.  KJV - Mark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  This scripture here is for the believer (the body of Christ), if you never learn anything about the devil how are you going to cast him out? People are teaching that we give too much credit to the devil and yes sometimes in our ignorance we do.  And at the same time we don't know enough about our enemy. The word of God says in 2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. The bible says, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, EPH 6:12. Always pray for a balanced word. Nothing is impossible with God.

I came out of prayer with the prayer group a little earlier. God has released the Five Fold ministry gifts (ascension gifts) in the city of Tucson. God has spoke to us in prayer about three weeks ago and said for us to starting calling things in order over the city of Tucson. The five Fold ministry gifts (ascension gifts) is apart of things coming into the order of God. Tucson has rejected these gifts as a whole. God said his people are healed slightly because these gifts were rejected. We are going to start seeing these Five Fold ministry gifts (ascension gifts) in operation in the city of Tucson. The Body of Christ is not in proper order when these ministry gifts are not being taught and used in the Body of Christ. All of these gifts are for the equipping of the saints not part of them but all of them. And He Himself gave some apostles, and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11;12
