When the townspeople saw what had happened they came after the young boy calling him a murderer and wanted revenge for the death of the other boy. So the young boy took off with the mob behind him and ran to the tent of the Old Chief. He began pulling on the tent peg of the old chief asking for protection and forgiveness. He granted the young man protection and told him to go inside the tent just as the mob began...
